Emily Loker, principal
Emily is an award-winning Registered Interior Designer with over a decade of experience working on an extensive portfolio of projects. Her earliest memories that lead her to the world of interior design are, as a child, rearranging the living room furniture almost daily while on summer holidays, and later as a teenager, building a scale model of a house using the extent of the wood shop’s machinery while studying construction technology. She was hooked on the idea that she could (and still does) design and build many things from scratch.
Experience early in her career focused on high-end and multi-unit residential. Emily shifted paths to retail and restaurant design, providing concepts and roll-out packages for a variety of clients ranging from small kiosks to fashion and grocery retail, and quick service restaurant to fine dining for both Canadian and international clients.
Emily is an active member of ARIDO and IDC, and is a LEED Accredited Professional with a specialty in Interior Design and Construction.
Did you know that Emily was once an automotive technician for eight years before becoming an Interior Designer? Working hands-on helped fuel her for the multifaceted demands that are required of Interior Design professionals – pardon the pun…
